A violent drunk, a traitor, and a hypocrite walk into a Group chat...

There is not a punchline…that’s what happened.

Oh wait, J.D Vance, who made himself a wealthy Trump critic within the GOP and concomitantly a conflicted Trump cultist, was also there. Plus a well known journalist who was invited on the chat.

Despite White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s fantasy that the Signalchat scandal about war plans and other classified stuff is over, it apparently isn’t as the public and political uproar continues.

Why?

Mostly because Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defense, faced a great deal of opposition during his confirmationhearings. Hegseth’s history as a violent drunk, serial adulterer, and penchant for overblown rhetoric as a talking head on FoxNews made Democratic Senators and a few Republicans question if he had the proper temperament for the job.

He doesn’t. His resume is filled with holes, questions, and concerns.¹ But in a world where brown-nosing loyalty to Donald Trump is the only test, his confirmation was all but assured

To make matters worse, the other two key people involved Mike Waltz and Tulsi Gabbard are also problematic.

Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, is an asset of Syria or at least political forces² there; and since Syria is a client-state of Putin’s Oligarchy in Russia, one cannot assured that she is not in bed with Putin along with Trump.

In the case of Mike Waltz, the question is far more succinct. He should know better. Waltz has worked for two defense secretaries and was a counterterrorism advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney (who had also been a Secretary of Defense).³

This scandal, snafu, national security breach, fiasco, etc. falls at the feet of Donald Trump, if he does not fire someone soon.

Given that Laura Loomer, well known ultra right-wing activist, visited Trump in the Oval Office this week and staffers for Waltz were shown the door…it’s obvious who’s head is on the chopping block.

Unfortunately, the drunk and the traitor look safe for the moment.
