I disagree. Trump MUST go to prison. Alternatively, he must pay for treason in the other way, the way we've punished traitors for centuries: The DEATH PENALTY. (And yes, that's still the penalty for treason.)
If we do not, then we are giving people the OK to commit open treason and not be punished for it. We must make an example, and show that even the President is not immune to the law of the land.
Hi Kerry. I'm in Illinois. Born and raised here, 60 years old. I have seen a LOT!! of illegal activities over the years from governors, mayors of Chicago, smaller towns, and Aldermen.
In recent years we had 2 governors, Edgar and Blagojevich, get convicted of various crimes and go to "Prison". Why the quotes? Simple. These are very rich powerful people. Their prison is essentially a country club or 1st class resort. It would be like serving a sentence at Pebble Beach. Golf, tennis, pools, great food, nice decent accommodations...Granted, they can't leave, but who would want to?
And the real crime...we taxpayers in Illinois pay for this!!
So do you, in your state. Trump will probably be found guilty of several things. He mght have to may a million dollars in fines andpenalties. Chump change to him.
Mayor's, aldermen, and governors never went to an actual prison. Keep dreaming if you believe that Trump will.
This piece predates the classified documents issue, and the illegal retention of these is can be tied much more closely to DT than Jan 6 ever will be, much as we would all like to see both happen.

Trump isn't rich, and he used to be powerful when he was the President. Not any more.
Trump isn't a Mayor, an Alderman or a Governor. He's a mobster, a Capone.
He'll go to prison, and then the electric chair. And if the government won't put him there, the people will.
