The End of Roe

and the beginning of a social policy pushback by the Left

According to an article in the Washington Post, a majority of the U.S. Supreme Court is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade after 50 year of legal precedents¹.

The Democrats, women, and healthcare advocates may be appalled by the impending ruling, but its political use will make Critical Race Theory, wokeness, anti-trans legislation, and book banning look like political folderol. Draconian anti-abortion laws are certain to motivate women to vote even bluer than they do now and all the way to the bottom of the ballot. I said as much last year.²

And as an added bonus, Biden and Company can campaign on the fact that Donald Trump put 3 Justices on the Supreme Court that decided Roe v Wade should be overturned. While reactionary anti-abortion laws might sell well in Oklahoma and Mississippi, states like Florida, Texas, Iowa, and Ohio are probably more problematic.

There is a decided difference with being seen as anti-abortion than being painted as anti-women. The Democrats would be fools not to message the latter.
