The GOP Stepfords want to control where my Congresswoman pees
and that is pissing me off
I wanted to put “Representative” there, but I demurred.
Not because Rep.-elect Sarah McBride is a transgendered woman, but because I have always believed that Congressman and Congresswoman were sexist labels. Senators, Cabinet Secretaries, and Vice-Presidents don’t suffer that bit of sexist vocabularization. Internationally, Presidents and Prime Ministers don’t either.
That said, the attacks on Sarah McBride
run from unhinged to cringy.
In part, because the Political Right and stupid people, generally, think one can transgender over the weekend or at least within 6 months tops. And Democrats and smart people never say the obvious. It takes years of therapy and then months and often years of hormone drugs and surgeries to complete the process.
I have no idea what goes on in ladies’ rooms, but the last time I did janitorial work in the 1980s — ladies’ rooms had a level of privacy in that every female gets her own stall.
Men’s rooms have this.
Nevertheless, the danty lady from South Carolina, Nancy Mace, is concerned her womanhood might to harmed by a transgendered female using the Capitol Hill bathroom for female members of Congress. The belief that where Sarah pees is a problem is actually a problem.
Why?
It’s kind of problematic in that President-elect Donald Trump is an ajudicated rapist.
His Attorney General pick, former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), has actually had sex with underaged females1 and been involved in drug-fueled orgies.2 By the way, Matt regularly bragged about his sexual exploits on the floor of the House. Ew, gross.
His Secretary of Defense pick has had his own sex scandal.3 Okay, it’s sexual assault, but he paid her off to avoid the obvious. Plus, his tattoos have pro-Nazi symbolism, allegedly.4 Plus he brags about not washing his hands.5 Ew, even grosser.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., once a scion to an esteemed political family, is going around talking about worms eating his brain6and killing a bear in Central Park.7 His lack of belief in vaccines, doctors, and modern medicine compelled Donald Trump to announce he would be the head of a Department that handles health. That’s just cringy and weird.
Still, seriously, the Right’s problems with Sarah McBride shouldn’t be her gender identity, sexual orientation, or where she disposes of excess fluid and fecal matter.
She’s pro-worker, pro-labor, and pro-union. That should be their true issue.
A follower to this blog ask me, “Kevin, what are your priorities in a Democratic primary? What is Left of liberalism?”
Labor support comes first. Yeah, yeah…abortion rights, the environment, civil rights, Israel, Ukraine, etc. If you cannot win the working class over basic economics, you will never win on anything else.
Realism is about whether workers have the economic power to fight for justice outside of their homes. Subsistence wages and benefit free employment makes slaves of us all.
So why is Nancy Mace chasing Sarah and the human need to pee?
Likely congressional redistricting litigation in South Carolina. Her district was most likely going to be redrawn to be a Black majority district in the Palmetto State prior to the 2024 election.8 Unfortunately, the U.S. Supreme Court gave it a pass.9
Actually it’s redistricting and the fact that Nancy never met a TV camera she didn’t love. Media attention is her crack cocaine.
Fighting culture wars with the Democrats should give her a pass for 2026. The idiots in Columbia likely won’t have to redraw the lines to keep Nancy safe — which is what put Nancy in this cringy and weird spot.
How weird? Nancy sponsored pro-transgendered persons legislation in 2021. She did that when she thought she would be in a Democratic leaning district in 2022 or 2024. Now that she has survived redistricting due to SCOTUS nonfeasance, she’s taking the more nihilistic approach.
Why is the rest of the GOP Stepford caucus going along? Nothing gets one untangled from the Dobbs decision fiasco like an imaginary problem with transgendered women peeing in stall when you are peeing in another stall. And that helps when “your President” is a rapist who is appointing pedophiles (Gaetz), an accused rapist (Hegseth), and a brain worm nutjobs (RFK Jr.) to important government positions
If one were a female GOP representative, the four actual lesbians, who will be in the House in January (and all on the Democratic side), ought to give the GOP Stepfords more pause than a transgendered woman who’s interests seems to be pretty heterosexual. Particularly, this woman.
She’s Sharice Davids (D-KS)…former MMA fighter.
Not impressed. This is her doing push-ups (in business clothes) to get better Congressional office space in the lottery.
Actually, she was just doing it for luck. Still, if I needed a bodyguard on the Hill, she would be at the top of the list.
In fact, Sarah, you and Sharice should become BFFs and pee anywhere you want.
Speaking of urinating. Nancy is on the House Armed Services Committee. Potential Security of Defense Peter Hegseth is a proud of the fact that he does not wash his hands…even after he pees.
